The meeting was held November 9th at the Airport Marriott in Rochester NY.   Over 30% of the membership was present in fact or by proxy.  Please see the active links on the agenda for the meeting to read each officer's reports.  

 

Rich Wagner was re-elected president.  Mark Cornfield is now the 2nd Vice president. Hugh Goodridge will continue as secretary. Their biographies can be viewed here.  The membership passed the budget which included fee increases of $2.00 on the 1st player pass effective January 1, and the basic registration fee will increase one dollar September 2014.

 A record number of attendees turned out for the  2013 NYSW Awards Dinner held on November  9th, 2013 at the Rochester Airport Marriott.  The  dinner was sold out, completely.   Must be the  great people being recognized....

2013 Hall of Fame Inductee - Tim Mellander

Tim Mellander has been an active volunteer in the soccer community for 28 years.  Like many parents, his initial involvement began with his youngest son joining a recreational program in 1986 and subsequently lead to being asked to help.  Over the years Tim has contributed to the youth game on every level - as a parent coach, a local administrator, a national leader and registrar, and as a professional league and a state organization manager.  NYSW is a great soccer state, a technologically superior state, thanks to Mellander's efforts to guide the state to on-line services early on.  On the national level, he has shaped registration policies, national championship series rules, and travel permissions.  An indepth account of Mellander's many contributions is in the Hall of Fame records on our website.
