WPS Champion, WNY Flash Coach, Aaran Lines to Speak at NYSWYSA Awards Banquet

In conjunction with the NYSWYSA Annual General Meeting, the 2011 NYSW Coaches Symposium will be held on Fri/Sat, November 11/12, 2011 at the Doug Miller Family Sports Park in Spencerport, NY.   This year’s feature clinician is former US Women’s National Team Coach Tony DiCicco. Under his guidance, the US Women won the gold medal at the 1996 Olympics and the 1999 Women’s World Cup title on their way to compiling an astounding 103-8-8 record, which still ranks as the highest win percentage (.899) in US Soccer history.  Joining DiCicco will be acclaimed USYSA national clinician and the NYSWYSA Director of Coaching Education, Chris Hershey. Aaran Lines, Head Coach of the WPS Champion WNY Flash, will serve as the feature speaker at the NYSWYSA Awards Banquet, which both recognizes and celebrates the many achievements of the NYSWYSA membership.

Coach DiCicco will present a lecture on Friday evening at 8pm and on Saturday, he will conduct field sessions at 10:15am and again at 1:15pm.  Coach Hershey will conduct a goalkeeping field session on Saturday at 11:45am. All sessions will take place at the Doug Miller Family Sports Park. Admission is FREE but attendees must RSVP by November 9, 2011 by clicking here. Please continue to visit this website for final updates on session times and topics.
